What I Faced When I Went To Buy Perfectskin…

I believe that like me you are looking for moisturizers for skin. I am a new husband, and when I was going through shell shock at all the products my wife uses (for what I thought was to look better, but is actually feel better about herself), I wondered if I could somehow be a part of that process (which is really very intimate and “no” I cannot be part of it). However I can support her by providing things she needs, and so I started looking for “girly” stuff.

Things She Shared

She started using my shaving stuff while I was looking, and one evening on the front porch where we meet for the end of the day she told me why. Skin cream is a woman’s necessity for shaving. It keeps the skin from drying up. Perfectskin dropped in my lap at this time and as I looked into it more I discovered something we can share. The company says it is for use by men as well as women and my penny pinching heart warmed to it.

I discovered through a long conversation with her that she was willing to share things with me to save money, but also she was concerned about her skin. The topic was breached by her sheepish admission that she had been using my shaving cream because her skin dried so easily with products made for women. Well I immediately thought of the perfecskin product I was researching online (quietly, so to surprise her with it), and I set about to buy it.

Hickup Number One

At the time I was on a high within my marriage. We were in agreement about some personal things and the finances surrounding them. But our personal economy took a dive at the same time I was attempting to surprise her.

On the official website I found that perfectskin has a 60 day guarantee. I could try it for 60 days! That would give me enough time to save up the money to buy the product, I thought. But unfortunately I needed the money up front, and if we weren’t satisfied we could return it in sixty days. I despaired until I saw the price for a thirty day supply. Only $29.95 which I could easily come up with. Relieved, my first problem was solved.

Second Hickup

Now I am going to admit to an embarrassing problem I run into over and over. I am not a blonde, but often act as ditzy. (My apologies to blondes who are not ditzy, but the stereo-type has stuck) So when I went to look for the official site I ran into another site which has the perfectskin domain name but is not in any way affiliated with the skin moisturizer.

The site is a cosmetic surgery clinic in Boca Raton. I assume you may have had your hopes set high when trying to surprise your loved ones. And then something totally stops you in your tracks. To me this lapse in common sense did just that. I couldn’t find the right site! Hickup Number Three

So I started browsing their site and found that the product is actually three parts. One does something preparing for the next which prepares for the last according to the official site. And I thought to myself, I am only looking for a skin cream, not a system. This seems to be too complicated to just help keep my wife’s skin from drying out after shaving. What’s the catch? Why would I go to all the extra steps for just that?

Well according to the site this product does more than moisturizing. It actually cleanses and tones the skin hense the extra “parts.” Could I just go ahead and get the whole enchilada for her? And then it hits me…of course I can! The reason for getting this stuff is to better her whole pampering deal. And if she feel good about herself it makes my life brighter somehow. I know, mushy, whatever!

Hickup Number Four

So the whole surprise has come through several hickups already. Now I thought it wise to look up others reviews that had bought the perfectskin system. Here is where I found some real problems that need to be addressed. Firstly some of the users made statements about acne, then some said they had been hit with extra charges on their credit cards and said it took months to get it set straight, others said they tried to cancel their order after a long delay waiting for its arrival and ran into several problems. I emailed a representative of the company that makes the perfectskin system about these problems and how people can fly through the process without running into any of these. Here is what they said…

 

Exactly! They said nothing.

So I looked closely at other blogs and review sites. One even had a very generous review of the product with three willing participants in the review, yet the article had a red letter “update” in the middle of it stating the site no longer promoted perfectskin, but suggested another skin cream. (which whitens skin…something I am not looking for at all). I found alot of comments from very satisfied people. Which outweighed those in opposition to the product I was researching. So I know it works, the difficulty I had in getting answered from a company rep seems to be the biggest issue I or others have run into.

Conclusion

So I needed a really good and inexpensive moisturizer my wife and I could share. I am not into that whole ‘let’s spend alot on different things that do the same thing’ thing…(well that sentence could be better) And in my attempt to surprise her I researched perfectskin, and found it really works, but there are problems a person can run into if they are not aware of them. Small problems in the scheme of things to be sure, but it has cost several people their satisfaction with the system. However there are far fewer unsatisfied comments out there than the ones who are happy with the system. So consider yourself warned. It can become a journey buying anything online, but I consider perfectskin to be worth what I went through.
